No regulators, no tanks, and no special training required. Model 615 is a light, thermoplastic device and produces in excess of 90 liters of medically pure (USP) oxygen.

How does the OxySure™ Model 615 work? The device consists of a reusable outer housing and a replacable cartridge. Each cartridge produces in excess of 15 minutes of oxygen at a minimum of 6 liters per minute (LPM). Each cartridge stores two proprietary compounds in a hermitically sealed environment. These powders are dry and inert until the device is activated, bringing the powders in contact with each other. Once they get in contact with each other, medical oxygen is produced (this is called a catalytic reaction). Activation is a simple twist of a knob, instantly creating medically pure [USP] oxygen without all of the dangers and problems inherent with traditional compressed sources of oxygen. Once the cartridge expires and the patient requires additional oxygen, a new cartridge is simply inserted into the device and the process repeated. This means that oxygen availability is limited only the number of cartridges available. The powders, as well as the residue from the reaction are safe and environmentally friendly. The expended cartridges can be disposed of in regular household trash.
